The chateau was envisioned in 1890 by Cornelius Van Horne. There were many fires that threatened the hotel. It is also the birthplace of mountaineering. So Cool
The scenary is amazing as you walk around. You can see the mountains as well as people walking next to a construction site. The castle looks pretty castlely with a hint of cabin charm.
